The late arrival of the rainy season and declining level of the lakes crucial to providing Panama’s energy are having far reaching effects. Beginning the week of May 20, 2008, Panama government offices will have limited office hours.
Panama Government Office Hours:
Generally public institutions will be open 7:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m.
This includes, the Minister of Economia and Finance, the Director of Passports, the Tribunal Electoral, Immigration, and Post Offices
Exceptions:
City Treasurer (La Tesoreria del Municipio de Panama)
7:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.
Public Registry (Las oficinas del Registro Publico)
Operate in two turns:
First, 8:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.
Second, 1:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m.

7:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.
Public hospitals will operate on regular hours
